Well the 2009 Triathlon Championship in Hawaii has been over for a few weeks, but that doesn’t mean that there is not a lot of good triathlon racing left this year.
The 2009 Ford Ironman Arizona on November 22nd is proof of that. This is one of the premier races of the triathlon season and promises to be another exciting race to watch, or if you are lucky enough to be registered, to race in. This race starts and finishes at the Tempe Town Lake in the great city of Tempe, Arizona. The racers begin by taking a 2.4 mile “dip” in the Tempe Town Lake. Once this portion is complete, the racers jump on their two-wheel-aerodynamic-missiles and ride 112 miles through the beautiful Tempe / Phoenix streets. Now that the “easy” part is over, the racers complete the race by putting on their running shoes and speed through the scenic Tempe streets for 26.2 miles.
Oh, did I forget to mention that; “the race is in Arizona” so there will NOT be any snow or cold weather to deal with, only bright / beautiful sunshine!! So come on out and give these great racers a little support and soak-up a little sunshine in process. Enjoy!
